After the school closed in 1966, he was to have gone to England but, went to the Pentagon instead. In 1972, he went to Wiesbaden and was there for 6 years. He returned to the Pentagon, where he retired in 1981. He and his wife, Nell, moved to Sequim, Washington and then to Port Angeles, Washington. After 17 years in the State of Washington, they moved to Ruskin, Florida to be near his daughter, Karen ('66), her daughter and grandchildren.
Before Chateauroux he was either Principal or Superintendent at:
Wheelus American Junior High & High School, Tripoli, Libya
Aviano American School, Aviano, Italy
Bentwaters, England and then Molesworth, England
[Worked for Boeing in Seattle, Washington]
Superintendent of Schools - LaCrosse, Washington
Principal of first American School in Madrid, Spain
Principal of school in Bordeaux, France
He started his teaching career in North Dakota and then moved to Washington
State
which became home base. (Sequim, WA)

Mr. Reistad passed away on November 24,
2002.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nell, daughter,
Karen Reistad ('66) and grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
He celebrated his 85th birthday on March 22,
2002
